Irrational Games is an award-winning game developer in Boston, MA. The team made its name with the System Shock 2 first person shooter, free games Force, SWAT 4 and Tribes: Vengeance. In 2005, Irrational Games was acquired by Take-Two Interactive Boston, 2K and renamed in 2007 for the launch of the critically acclaimed BioShock, which even won over 50 awards including Best Game BAFTA. In 2010, the team returned to its roots by getting the nickname of Irrational Games.
