So why a new study, and why Sydney?

Phil Larsen: One of the main reasons why we seek to develop because we want to maintain our small study of Brisbane. For us, it's about culture. If we hired 400 new people who would certainly lose it - there would be no more processes, more corporate stuff, nobody knows, and communication is a problem. We do not want, because putting it in the ass to work on Halfbrick.

However, we still want to accomplish a lot, so what that means [is] the expansion. What we have decided to do is open another studio in Sydney, which function as Halfbrick other team. The person who will lead the team used to work here in Brisbane for a long time, but recently moved to Sydney and worked remotely from. So it makes sense to add a few guys and start something new there.

GS AU: Sydney is a strange choice, however, given the stage of game development has not prospered as it has made in some of the other capitals.

PL: point good. But there are many people who are talented in Sydney who wish to enter the game and can not, without leaving Brisbane. We hope to have a presence in Sydney, will help change that.

GS AU: can give an idea of ??the direction of the study will be Sidney?
